Valentine’s Kids Craft with Free Template

With Valentine’s Day on the way, we wanted to share this fun Valentine’s kid’s craft! This Valentine’s Kids Craft with Free Template is great for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. The littles will love to paint freely on the canvas using paintbrushes…or their fingers. Older ages can choose to paint solid backgrounds or add some creative flair of their own by painting shapes!

What do you need to make a fun Valentine’s craft?

• Canvas board
• Free template
• Painters tape
• Craft knife (for adult use only)
• Paint in pinks, reds, and purples
• Paint brushes
• Red sequins
• Glue
• Red paint pen
• A little helper

How to make Valentine’s Kids Craft:

• Print and cut out the FREE Love Template
• Place the pieces on a blank canvas (we used an 8×10 canvas)
• Trace around the template using a pencil
• Place painter’s tape over the canvas, covering the traced template
• Using a craft knife (with the help of an adult), cut out the shape of the letters and heart, peeling away the excess tape
• Paint!!
• Allow the paint to dry completely
• Peel the painter’s tape off carefully
• Where the tape was, use a paint pen to fill in the letters
• For the heart, add some glue and top with sequins!
• Allow the paint and glue to dry completely

Print and cut out the FREE Love Template. Place the pieces on a blank canvas (we used an 8×10 canvas). Trace around the template using a pencil.

Place painter’s tape over the canvas, covering the traced template.

Using a craft knife (with the help of an adult), cut out the shape of the letters and heart, peeling away the excess tape.

Paint!!

Allow the paint to dry completely. Once the paint has dried completely, peel the painter’s tape off carefully.

Where the tape was, use a paint pen to fill in the letters and the heart shape.

For the heart, add some glue and top with sequins! Set aside and allow the paint and glue to dry completely.
