What do you need to make a Beautiful Egg Carton Wreath for Mother’s Day?

• Egg Carton
• Wood circle
• Scissors
• Paint
• Pom-poms
• Glue gun

How to Make a Beautiful Spring Door Wreath?

First, paint the wooden circle blue, or any colour you prefer! Set the circle aside to dry.

While the circle is drying, cut the cups out of an egg carton, separating them all. Use the lid of the egg carton to make leaves. Cut a leaf shape, then set them aside for later.

Once they are all cut out, cut the cups into flower shapes. We suggest cutting the tops of the cups with deep V’s and others with waves.

Next, paint the cups in bright, lively colours. Set them aside to dry completely.

Once dry, paint contrasting colours on the bottom of each “flower” cup. Set them aside to dry again.

Next, glue colourful pom-poms into each flower.

Then, glue the flowers to the hoop, grouping them onto one side.

Grab the leaves that were set aside and paint them green. Set them aside to dry, then attach them at the end of your flowers and peaking out between the flowers.

What do you need to make an easy Mother’s Day Kid’s Craft?

• Canvas
• Painter’s tape
• Paint
• Craft knife
• Paint brush
• Letter stencil
• Stencil glue
• Black paint pen

How to make a Heart Craft for Mom:

Draw a heart onto the canvas and cover it with painter’s tape. Press down on the edges of the tape to seal the gaps. This will help prevent the paint from leaking under the tape.

Add dots of paint to the heart in alternating colours. Choose Mom’s favourite colours or opt for bright and fun!

Now for the fun part! Give your little one a paintbrush, or sponge, or use none and have some fun finger painting! Before the paint dries, consider adding glitter or paint “splashes” from a brush.

Set the art aside and allow it to dry. This could take some time and may be the hardest part of this kid’s craft! Once the paint has dried completely, remove the painter’s tape. Be sure to pull slowly to avoid peeling.

Little ones may need help with this step, while older kids may like to do this part themselves! Use some sticky tack to secure a letter stencil ‘O’ to the middle of the heart. Fill in the stencil with a black paint marker. Peel off the stencil and let dry. Repeat the steps with an ‘M’ on either side of the ‘O’, allowing each letter to dry completely before moving on to the next.

Finally, wrap this beautiful gift up and give it to Mom on Mother’s Day!

We admit it, there are a lot of small steps to this craft but we can assure you that they’re easy ones.  The most tedious part is wrapping the moss ribbon around the foam wreath, it can be tough to get the moss in the right place while keeping it even and flat. We found it easiest to go slowly, laying the moss along the foam and securing it with the green thread little bits at a time, using the glue gun is certainly useful.  Once you have placed and secured the moss, all thats needed is to arrange flowers, succulents and Easter decorations.  

What you need to make a DIY Moss Wreath:

• Foam wreath
• Moss ribbon
• Thin green thread
• Artificial succulents
• Artificial flowers
• Easter decorations (bunny faces, eggs or chicks)
• Ribbon
• Hot glue gun
• Floral foam
• Floral wire

How to Make a Succulent Moss Wreath – Easter Decoration Idea

Firstly, wrap the foam wreath with moss ribbon, one layer at a time. Use green thread and a glue gun to secure the moss in place.  

Secondly, add the ribbon by wrapping it around the top of the wreath. Wrap it about two to three times to create a thick, secure ribbon accent.  Cut it when you are happy and glue gun the end the back of the wreath.  

Next, cut a piece of the floral wire to secure the floral foam to the wreath, using the glue gun to help secure it. Place it slightly off centre.

Now, begin to add the flowers and succulents to the wreath by using the glue gun.  Some flowers and succulents will have wire attached, use this to stick them into the foam and use the glue to secure them.

Finally, add the Easter decorations, cute Easter bunnies, chicks or sparkling Easter eggs can be used. Almost any Easter decoration will complement this perfect succulent wreath. What’s more, you could use this wreath all year by placing Easter decorations non-permanently.

What You’ll Need:

• Fabric for the pillow casing
• Felt in four colours
• Green yarn
• Decorative felt balls (or pom poms)
• Large eyed needle (like a darning or embroidery needle)
• Scissors
• Optional: Fabric Glue
• Sewing Machine
• Needle and thread

Measure your fabric for the pillow casing. Be sure to leave room – at least 1/2″ all the way around – for a seam allowance. Stitch three sides closed with the forth left open enough that you can slip your pillow inside.

Cut flowers out of the coloured felts. We made three different sizes in various shapes. You’ll need about twenty flowers to make your pillow.

Arrange your cut flowers on the pillow case. When you like how it looks, start attaching the flowers with the method you have chosen, either put a couple of stitches in the centre of each flower, or a dab of fabric glue.  If you are sewing, make sure to secure your flowers with pins so you don’t lose your design. Work your away along the pillow until all the flowers are attached.

Next, take the green yarn and thread a length onto the large eyed needle. Tie a knot in the end of the thread and start stitching the flowers stems starting from the inside of the casing. Tie another knot in the in the thread inside the casing to secure the flower stem. Sew stems for all the flowers.

Insert your filling into the casing and stitch up the remaining opening. Happy Crafting!

What You’ll Need:

• A wood plank or tray
• Acrylic paint in various colours
• Paint brush
• Painters or masking tape
• Wood letters
• Hot glue gun or wood glue

Paint the coloured lines on the board. Use the painters tape to edge out the lines. Continue adding stripes of paint in a rainbow of colours until the board is covered. Be sure to let the paint dry between colours, if you move too fast the colours will bleed or you’ll remove layers when you peel up the painters tape.

Paint, dry and then attach the letters to the board. A hot glue gun or wood glue would both work for this. Alternatively, you could also use a stencil to paint the letters over the stripes or use adhesive vinyl letters if you can’t find wood letters that will work for you.

Eventually I steered them to the garden and we collected enough flowers to put in our frames. One would be for their Mum (Christine) and one for Nanny. What you’ll need:

• Glue gun
• Glue sticks
• Two small glass jars
• Scissors
• Painters tape
• Small piece of orange felt
• Little black gems
• Tiny pink pom pom
• Fine tip paintbrush
• Acrylic paints in Yellow, White and Black

For this design, I wanted to avoid painting the lip of the jar. To do the same, take the painter’s tape and cover the top of the jar where you don’t want any paint to be. Additionally, you may have to cut slits in the tape to get it to fold over the top and seal tightly.

Pour a big dollop of the yellow paint in one jar. Turn the jar around in your hands to spread the paint around. Tapping the jar against your palm helps to get the paint to move. Be patient, it may seem like the paint isn’t moving but it will. Keep turning and tapping the jar until all of the glass is covered in paint. When you’re happy with the coverage, turn the jar over onto a piece of paper towel and leave it to dry. Drying may take some time depending on how thick the paint is. Repeat the previous step with the second jar and the white paint.

The Absolute Cutest Little Easter Critter Cups Ever

Cut a small triangle out of the orange felt, which will be the ducks beak. Use hot glue to attach your beak to the centre of the yellow jar and then use the black gems as eyes and attach them with the hot glue on either side of the beak to complete the ducks face.

On the white jar, use the black paint to make whiskers in the centre of the jar by painting an X and then add lines out the side to make three whiskers on each side. Add a pink pom pom nose with the hot glue and black gems for the bunny’s eyes.
