Print and cut out our FREE template Trace the reindeer head onto the canvas Cover the traced outline with painter’s tape Using a crafter’s knife, carefully cut away the excess tape Paint! Use a brush or finger paint! Set the painting aside to dry completely. The materials for this project were bought from a local department store, the fabric we used is actually a sparkly table cloth! It’s certainly amazing what you can find if you use your imagination. You could also check out your local craft or fabric store, they always have a lot of selection. This week we are bringing you a DIY home decor project that will display the all of the Christmas cards you receive.  We love this craft because it’s easy to make and you can reuse it every year. This card display is big and holds a lot of cards in addition, it doubles as a pin board you can pin post card style cards and Christmas photos too!

The materials for this project were bought from a local department store, the fabric we used is actually a sparkly table cloth! It’s certainly amazing what you can find if you use your imagination. You could also check out your local craft or fabric store, they always have a lot of selection.

DIY Christmas Card Wall Display and Pin Board Idea

What you’ll need:

  • Foam board (36” x 24”)
  • Christmas fabric or table cloth (as we used here)
  • Mod Podge glue
  • Hot glue gun/glue sticks
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Ruler/measuring tape
  • 2 foam brushes
  • Push pins

Firstly, measure and and cut your fabric to fit the foam board.  Leave about two inches of material to wrap around the edges of the board. Cut the corners of the fabric to remove any bulkiness, therefore resulting in a nicer fit that’s easier to glue down.

Once the mod podge has dried you can add the ribbon.  Measure the lengths you need and cut it to fit. Then, secure the ribbon onto the board with the hot glue gun. Be sure to measure the spacing between each ribbon.  Double check with a card!
