What You’ll Need:

Silhouette Santa Craft with Free Templates

Painting the faces of three oval wood boards with a brown wash by Champagne and Sugarplums

First, mix some brown paint with water and then paint the faces of the wood. This step can be skipped if you are happy with the colour of your wood, but it can help bring out the the grain.

Print and cut out each of the silhouettes – Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph.

Not to worry! We have the perfect DIY for you this week with our Sip, Grill, Chill – DIY Sign for Summer Fun. This summer decoration will add a splash of colour to poolsides and patios. This blog post may contain affiliate links. What does that mean? We may get a small commission if you make a purchase using our links, which helps us to keep posting new holiday content every week. This DIY project is perfect for long weekend crafting. Use a bright-colored acrylic craft paints, embellish with a printed template and then seal with resin to make it weatherproof. It certainly can’t get easier, what’s not to love?  What You’ll Need: Wood board (we used an 8″x10″) Paint in five relate colours Paint brush Sign template Sharp craft knife Glue Cutting board Resin How to make this DIY Sign for Summer Fun Firstly, add a dab of each paint colour diagonally across the wood board. Drag a paintbrush through each colour, blending the colours together as you move across the board. Follow the outline of the letters with a sharp knife. Keep going until all of the letters are removed. Keep the inside of the P and R . Flip the cut template over and cover thoroughly with a paper glue. Centre the template over the board and then smooth it down. Use glue to attach the inside of the P and R in place. Mix resin using the directions on the package. Set the board on a baking tray covered in tin foil and raise up on an old bowl, ribbon spool, or any other item that will hold the board flat and can be discarded. Make sure the board is level. Pour the resin over the DIY sign. Spread the resin with a plastic knife, the resin is self-leveling so it should fill in any gaps as you go. Set aside in a dust free spot for 24 hours to fully cure. How to make this DIY Sign for Summer Fun
