These Easter Bunny pots can be painted any colour, something to keep in mind when your shopping for supplies. Each dollar store has slightly different materials each season, so you never know exactly what you’ll find — especially when considering the bunny ears!

There are so many different bunnies to create. It’s cute to see what everyone comes up with, their individual choices are adorable!

After a trip to the dollar store, be sure to place some paper down on your crafting surface, because this craft gets messy!

What do you need to make Easy Easter Bunny Pots?

• Easter bunny ears
• Clay pots – medium in size but big enough to support your bunny ears.
• Child friendly paints – in any colour!
• Paint brushes
• Two medium Pom Poms
• One small Pom Pom
• Pipe cleaners
• Googly eyes
• Ribbon or other accessory
• Hot glue gun with glue or child safe glue for the littles

How to make an Easy Easter Craft for Kids to Make

• Firstly, paint the clay pot in the desired colour.
• Set it aside to dry. It won’t take long to dry.
• Using a glue gun or child safe glue add the googly eyes, PomPom nose and muzzle, whiskers and accessories
• Set aside to dry
• Add the cute bunny ears using glue (allow to dry again!)
• When all the glue has dried, fill your pot with delicious Easter goodies!

Easy Tutorial!

Firstly, paint the clay pot in the desired colour. Then set it aside to dry — the hardest part for the little ones. But don’t worry, the clay pot absorbs moisture and the paint will dry fairly quickly!

When the pot is dry, add the facial features!

Using a glue gun or child safe glue add the googly eyes, PomPom nose and cheeks.

Create your bunnies whiskers using pipe cleaners. Wrap the pipe cleaner around a pencil to create curls, then cut the pipe cleaner into small pieces and glue them onto the bunny, just under the cheeks.

Take your time and allow the glue to dry completely when finished.

Remove the bunny ears from the headband or hair clips. Some are glued on and only need to be pulled off and some need to be removed with scissors.

Add the cute bunny ears using glue (this step is definitely easier when using a hot glue gun).

Remember to take your time and allow the glue to dry completely when finished.

Finally, fill your bunny with yummy Easter treats and enjoy!!

We admit it, there are a lot of small steps to this craft but we can assure you that they’re easy ones.  The most tedious part is wrapping the moss ribbon around the foam wreath, it can be tough to get the moss in the right place while keeping it even and flat. We found it easiest to go slowly, laying the moss along the foam and securing it with the green thread little bits at a time, using the glue gun is certainly useful.  Once you have placed and secured the moss, all thats needed is to arrange flowers, succulents and Easter decorations.  

What you need to make a DIY Moss Wreath:

• Foam wreath
• Moss ribbon
• Thin green thread
• Artificial succulents
• Artificial flowers
• Easter decorations (bunny faces, eggs or chicks)
• Ribbon
• Hot glue gun
• Floral foam
• Floral wire

How to Make a Succulent Moss Wreath – Easter Decoration Idea

Firstly, wrap the foam wreath with moss ribbon, one layer at a time. Use green thread and a glue gun to secure the moss in place.  

Secondly, add the ribbon by wrapping it around the top of the wreath. Wrap it about two to three times to create a thick, secure ribbon accent.  Cut it when you are happy and glue gun the end the back of the wreath.  

Next, cut a piece of the floral wire to secure the floral foam to the wreath, using the glue gun to help secure it. Place it slightly off centre.

Now, begin to add the flowers and succulents to the wreath by using the glue gun.  Some flowers and succulents will have wire attached, use this to stick them into the foam and use the glue to secure them.

Finally, add the Easter decorations, cute Easter bunnies, chicks or sparkling Easter eggs can be used. Almost any Easter decoration will complement this perfect succulent wreath. What’s more, you could use this wreath all year by placing Easter decorations non-permanently.

These little keepsakes are priceless, handprint, footprint and fingerprint art is ALWAYS a great idea.  This print art has it all, the chick is a handprint, the carrot a footprint and finally the bunny is a heal print with fingerprint ears! You really can’t go wrong with these cute Easter critters. Since our carrot was only five weeks old and siblings three and five years, the canvas’s didn’t need to be very big. Certainly use your judgement when selecting the canvas size, you could also have all three characters on one canvas.

Cute Easter Handprint and Footprint Craft Ideas

What you’ll need:

For the Bunny:

• a 4″x 4″ canvas
• yellow, light pink, dark pink and black paint
• child safe white paint
• *optional – pink glitter and glue*

For the Chick:

• a 4″x 4″ canvas
• light green, orange, white and black paint
• child safe yellow paint
• *optional – orange glitter and glue*

For the carrot:

• a 4″x 4″ canvas
• light blue, dark orange, green paint
• child safe orange paint
• *optional – green and orange glitter and glue*

Step 1 – The base coat.   Firstly, using the indicated colours, apply a base coat to your canvas.  You may need to apply two coats, if so allow the paint to dry completely between each coat and once again when thoroughly painted.

Step 2 – The hand/foot/finger print.  Above all, be sure to have plenty of wipes or paper towel handy for clean-up!!  The bunny requires a painted heal and two (or one) painted finger.  The heel should be painted in white paint and then pressed onto the canvas, this will create the bunny’s head/upper body.  Allow this to dry before adding the finger print ears.  Painting one finger is a little easier to maneuver then two.  To create the chick, apply a generous amount of paint to the hand and press onto the canvas, set aside to dry.  The carrot is created by applying a generous amount of paint to the foot and pressing it onto the canvas. Once again, set aside to dry.

Step 3 – The Details.   Now for the sightly tricky part.  The bunny requires eyes, a nose, a mouth and some whiskers painted in.  Also some pink on the ears to give the bunny some character.  The Chick needs eyes, eyelashes and a beak.  Finally, the carrot needs some darker orange lines painted in to represent the gradations seen on a real carrot and some green on top for the stem.  Paint these details as you see here or create your own character features!

*Step 4 – Optional glitter*   We love everything that sparkles so it was a must to add sparkle to these cute critters.  To create some sparkle, we used some all purpose glue and crafting glitter.  The bunny has pink glitter added to accent the ears and nose, the chick has orange glitter on its beak and finally the carrot has orange glitter along the dark orange gradations and green glitter for the stem.
