And seasonal décor just isn’t complete without a great door hanger. Today, let’s make this easy (and adorable!) door decoration using felt, thread, paint and ribbon. We used a burlap ribbon and painted it for texture and depth – but a green ribbon or tulle would work equally well if you’re not in the mood to break out your paints. Use what you have on hand, put your own twist on our projects and then remember to share your creations on our Facebook page, in the comments, or on Instagram! We always love to see or friends creations. Let’s dig into this project and decorate your entryway in time for the Easter bunny to stop by. This blog post may contain affiliate links. What does that mean? We may get a small commission if you make a purchase using our links, which helps us to keep posting new holiday content every week. What you’ll need:          Orange felt – the thicker the better Burlap ribbon Coloured thread and needle Hot glue gun and sticks Green paint and sponge Draw three carrots onto some orange felt and then cut them out. Use the embroidery thread to make lines through the carrot, add as many lines as you like. Glue the carrots together at the tops, overlapping slightly, so the carrots spread out. Add some burlap ribbon by piling it on top of itself to create volume. Add a green bow. If you like, sponge some light and dark green paint onto the burlap ribbon and let dry, in order to create some depth to the plain ribbon. Enjoy your new Easter door decoration and Happy Crafting! PRETTY PEARL SNOWFLAKE PILLOW COVER https://www.champagneandsugarplums.com/pretty-pearl-snowflake-pillow-cover/ Mon, 04 May 2020 20:28:14 +0000 http://192.168.0.28:8010/?p=1350 We love decorating with holiday pillows. They provide an easy way to add colour and a festive feel to any room. A clever idea is to make a pillow cover instead of a stuffed pillow, which means it can slip it over an existing couch throw for the season and then remove it after. It also makes for easier storage throughout the rest of the year and needs less supplies to make it. And our snowflake pillow cover is a perfect project to tackle while watching your favourite Christmas movie, as sewing the pearls onto the cover will take time, but it’s a simple task. What You’ll Need: Felt (a large enough square to cover your throw pillows) Decorative pearls Small gems Needle and thread Bead glue Sewing machine Cut the felt into two squares large enough to cover (with some extra space) your pillow and then sew three sides together. Cut six stripes of felt and then stitch them in pairs to the open edges, these will be closures for the finished pillow. Arrange the pearls into a design that you like and then stitch each of the pearl beads into place. Use bead glue to attach the gems in a decorative pattern. Let the glue dry and then slip your new Christmas cover over an existing throw pillow. We hope you love this pretty snowflake pillow cover, please share your version with us in the comments and happy crafting! Craving some more Christmas DIY?
