Lazy Susan’s make a fabulous addition to any BBQ, they’re great for displaying condiments or utensils. We dug out an old, plain lazy Susan and gave it a face-lift by picking a bright, citrus design for our Summer Citrus Lazy Susan. If you can’t find one, you can make your own with instructions from The Shabby Creek Cottage Sandpaper White paint Green paint (or orange or yellow) Tissue paper Mod Podge and a foam brush Sealer How to make your own Citrus Lazy Susan: Sand the finish off of the old lazy Susan (skip this step of you have made your own). Paint the entire surface white and then let dry. This may take a few coats so be sure to let the paint dry in between. Paint the edge of the lazy Susan green (orange or yellow), coming up onto the top about 1/2”. Cut out eight triangles, about an 1” smaller than the radius of the lazy Susan. Mod Podge the triangles into the centre of the green circle and then let dry. Don’t worry about wrinkles forming, they give the paper a citrusy texture which looks great! Carefully (too much glue will make the tissue bleed) add a layer of glue on top of the tissue paper. After the glue is dry, finish with a thick layer of varnish to seal it and then let dry. Summer Citrus Lazy Susan by Champagne and Sugarplums

What You’ll Need:
  • A plain lazy Susan. If you can’t find one, you can make your own with instructions from The Shabby Creek Cottage
  • Sandpaper
  • White paint
  • Green paint (or orange or yellow)
  • Tissue paper
  • Mod Podge and a foam brush
  • Sealer

How to make your own Citrus Lazy Susan:
