Today we want to show you how to make a simple Father’s Day Kids Craft – Rawr the Best card for Dad. Our free template makes this craft easier for all kids, but feel free to draw your own lion face! What do you need to make a Lion Rawr the Best! Father’s Day card? Yellow construction paper Brown, yellow and orange scrapbook paper FREE template – Lion’s Head and Ears FREE template – Lion’s Eyes and Nose Scissors Markers Glue How do you make a fun Father’s Day? Cut out the head and ear shape template (there are two separate lion’s on each template). Fold a piece of yellow construction paper in half. Place the template on top of the yellow construction paper, trace around the template. Cut the lions head out. Be sure to leave the folded portion on the top of the head, so your card can open! Use the scrap construction paper to trace the ear templates, cut them out also. Cut out the eyes and nose from the template. Cut strips of scrapbook paper in a variety of patterns and colours. Glue the strips of scrapbook paper to the back of the yellow lion’s head. Add the ears on top, using glue. Glue the lion’s eyes and nose onto the lion’s head. Draw a mouth! Open your card and write a meaningful message! We suggest – Happy Father’s Day – Rawr the Best!! What do you need to make a Lion Rawr the Best! Father’s Day card?

  • Yellow construction paper
  • Brown, yellow and orange scrapbook paper
  • FREE template – Lion’s Head and Ears
  • FREE template – Lion’s Eyes and Nose
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Glue

How do you make a fun Father’s Day?

  • Cut out the head and ear shape template (there are two separate lion’s on each template).
  • Fold a piece of yellow construction paper in half. Place the template on top of the yellow construction paper, trace around the template. Cut the lions head out. Be sure to leave the folded portion on the top of the head, so your card can open!
  • Use the scrap construction paper to trace the ear templates, cut them out also.
  • Cut out the eyes and nose from the template.
  • Cut strips of scrapbook paper in a variety of patterns and colours.
  • Glue the strips of scrapbook paper to the back of the yellow lion’s head.
